My childhood experiences were at the "Jersey Shore" and continued into my adult life. I just want you to imagine some feelings that I will share with you and visualize paradise.
Since adults are the people who purchase homes, I will address my feelings to you.
Whether you spent time at the Jersey shore or whether you spent time at any beach along the east coast, the feelings are the same. For me, these precious moments were on my vacation. Even though I lived "near" the Jersey shore, I didn't live close enough to it. When I went on vacation, I usually vacationed in a small beach town called Chadwick Beach--maybe you are familiar with the area--it's near Mantaloking, many other beaches and just north of Seaside Heights. I would cross the Mantaloking bridge which in my opinion opened the door to another world. I was on vacation and the thought of that was exciting enough. I got more excited as I neared the lovely, even though small home I rented directly on the beach. There was the heat of the sun, the heat of the sand and the coolness of the ocean waters. Each morning I would take my cup of coffee and walk down to the ocean and just stand and listen to the wonderful sound of the waves crashing on the beach feeling totally connected to the sea. As the afternoon approached and the sun rose high in the sky, the sounds and warmth of the sun invited me into the surf. After romping in the waves, body surfing or just lying on my back and floating over the waves, I found myself in a world of peace and tranquility. It was wonderful and rejuvenating!
As the sun started to set, there was a change in the breeze and the smells and coolness of the approaching evening hours came upon me. There was a beautiful smell of the ocean mixed with the cooling temperatures. I had been able to enjoy the heat of the day, swim in the ocean waters to cool down and then enjoy a lovely walk after dinner at a favorite restaurant, feeling my sun-kissed skin from the heat of the day turn into a soothing evening glow. The air smelled of the ocean and maybe even a slight light misty feeling in the air and all was right with the world.
I always wanted more of that feeling and I found it when I moved to Florida. I just returned from a walk with my dog in the early evening coolness after a scorching day of work out in the sun and I was brought back to my days on vacation at the Jersey shore. What a wonderful feeling that was and is now and I can enjoy this feeling every day of the year.
So if you are thinking about spending more glorious time in the sun and enjoying the balmy breezes in the evening, Florida, especially Brevard County, is the place you want to live. I just love it and welcome all of you to share it with me!
